Denny Carleton was in legendary Cleveland Rock Bands The Lost Souls,The Choir, Moses, Milk, THe Pagans and the Window,from 1965-1989. In the 1970s He began his love of playing solo acoustic, deepened his Christian Faith and became active in the Ecumenical Jesus Movement, and the Charismatic Renewal in the Catholic Church . He is a well known worship and praise leader, and local musician and songwriter in the Northeast Ohio area.
Curently he plays solo at area restaurants, nursing homes and churches. He also teaches guitar ,does talks on his own ,and Cleveland's rich music history, and organizes concerts under the name of Denny Carleton and Friends.
He also has written a memoir, two guitar instruction books, and written music for two plays performed at the Fine Arts Association in Willoughby
Denny has led praise at the Catholic Charismatic conference ,played lead guitar at the Fest's mass, and was Lake Life Teen's music director for 7 years. He has also worked at many area parishes too numerous to mention.
He currently leads praise the first and third Sunday night 7PM at St Cosmas and Damian in Twinsburg. He is also very ecumenical leading praise and performing at other area churches ,including Contemporary Worship at WFPC Willoughby.
Dennys original music is on almost all digital formats which includes 5 praise and worship CDs .He has written music for 10 responsorial songs and a mass "The Mass of St Gabriel" and both are available with sheet music and MP3 downloads on this website.
